5 biggest position of needs after Chicago Bears trade down
1. The Chicago Bears should pay for a right tackle
If the Chicago Bears walk away from Monday's first big wave of signings with one position locked down, it should be right tackle. The need is obvious. Unlike left guard, they do not even have a temporary option like Cody Whitehair.
Larry Borom is there, but Borom lost his job to the aging Riley Reiff. They need to upgrade over Reiff, so having Borom there is nothing. It is obvious that this is the big hole.
The good news for the Chicago Bears is that free agency should provide an easy answer. There happen to be three free agents who all play right tackle and all would be huge upgrades. Kalen McGary, Mike McGlinchey, and Jawaan Taylor are former top 35 picks entering free agency for the first time.
They all have multiple years of starting tackle experience. There have been ups and downs, which is why they are testing free agency, but no other position has more legitimate options. The Chicago Bears need to take advantage and sign one of these guys.
