Negative: No definitive answers

By several measures, Justin Fields had his best season as a pro in 2023. The QB set a new career-high in passing yards, had the fewest fumbles and interceptions of his career, and had the best completion percentage he's ever had.

The same could be said for Matt Eberflus, who clearly had a better year than his disastrous debut in 2022. Eberflus' defense actually looked like a legit NFL defense in 2023, and his team improved from 3-14 to 7-10.

However, can anyone honestly say they know for sure if either Fields OR Eberflus is the answer? Eberflus had some head-scratching moments this season and, while Fields improved, he did not take an extraordinary leap. It would have been nice to know for sure if the Bears need a major overhaul.
