The Chicago Bears had Jalen Carter, arguably a player they were going to take number one overall, fall right into their laps. They traded down with the Philadelphia Eagles and took Darnell Wright instead. This move will be discussed for a long time amongst Bears fans and only time will tell if it is right or wrong.

However, one thing is for sure is that there are a few three-technique options, and options are thin at tackle. With that in mind, the draft is not over, and Ryan Poles may have a better complete picture of the team by the end of the weekend.

If the Chicago Bears do want to pivot to a new name on the interior defensive line, who can help Bears fans get over Jalen Carter?

3. Adetomiwa Adebawore could have a sky high ceiling with the Chicago Bears

You have probably heard or seen the hype surrounding Adetomiwa Adebawore in the 2023 NFL draft. There was some talk getting out of control about how high he would go, but most saw him in the second or third round, and when it comes down to it, that is the most likely option.

Adetomiwa Adebawore was always going to be a projection in the NFL, and that is why he was not going to be a first-round pick. He played out on the edge at Northwestern, and here we are talking about him as a three-technique. That is because his size is almost closer to a tweener, but is definitely an oversized edge rusher.

The hype grew at the Senior Bowl because teams had him rushing inside and they got a glimpse of what could happen in that role full-time. Then, the NFL combine came and we saw him move like nobody at his size can.

The upside is there, but in the first round, the raw ability was too much. If the Chicago Bears can find Adetomiwa Adebawore in the second round, it is an easy hit, and the upside is easily worth it in that range. Beyond that, he can mix in with DeMarcus Walker who also moves inside and outside. It is not Jalen Carter, but the upside may be nearly as high, and they may trust the work ethic more. Will they trade up or will he fall?
