1. Do the Chicago Bears extend Cole Kmet

If anyone is a winner this offseason it has to be Cole Kmet. Even if we think that Jaylon Johnson has a better chance of being extended compared to Darnell Mooney it is clear that Cole Kmet is the most likely option of the old Ryan Pace guys to stick around.

The Chicago Bears did add Robert Tonyan into the mix, but at his age and injury history, he was signed to be the second tight end. This may dip into the receiving stats for Kmet, but his blocking will keep him on the field as the primary tight end.

The team did not add anyone else, and you could argue that the room is pretty thin right now. That may speak to the reality that they see Kmet doing the heavy lifting, not only for this season but for the foreseeable future.

It is hard to find a reliable tight end. Beyond that, most of them do not break out until their second contract, and Kmet entered the NFL at a younger age than most tight ends. It is easy to see the best days being ahead of Kmet. The price of tight ends in the market went down after Dalton Schultz took a tough deal, and now the Chicago Bears could capitalize by offering Kmet a deal that looks strong compared to Schultz, but fits easily into their long-term plans.

How much money, how many years, and how long appear to be the big questions for the Chicago Bears here.
