9. Will the Chicago Bears play Gervon Dexter more this week?
The Chicago Bears played Gervon Dexter more against the Washington Commanders than in any other game this season. This is coming off of a game when he played less than any other this year. So, the question is whether he is trending up, whether it depends on the game flow and opponent, or perhaps it is just random because Matt Eberflus has a lot on his plate.
If Dexter does not play a lot this week, it is because it is just random. He is trending up in playing time, and his best game was Thursday. It is easier to rush the passer with a lead, but Dexter has looked good. He had six pressures against the Commanders, and while his snap count is much lower, his tape looks better than Justin Jones.
A lot of the time, Dexter subs in for Andrew Billings on passing downs. However, on early downs the team needs to start to play Dexter next to Billings and start to limite the snaps of Jones. Will that happen in week six?
