6. Should the Chicago Bears play the rookies on the DL more?

The Chicago Bears have been easing in their second-round picks, Gervon Dexter and Zacch Picens. That is understandable. However, their usage in week three is not. Both of them saw the lowest snap shares of their careers.

Dexter went from 38% of the snap share to 46%, and then against the Chiefs, he dropped to 34%. Pickens played 20% in week one, then 31% in week two, and that number dropped to 26%. What is the reason for this? The game was over at halftime; the best move here would have been to switch roles and let Dexter finish the game, getting starter-level snaps next to Zacch Pickens. They did the opposite and continued to play their veterans.

No offense to Andrew Billings and Justin Jones, but there is a great chance that neither is in the future plans. In a game that was meaningless, it is crazy to see a team waste snaps on those two, when Pickens and Dexter could have gotten needed experience.
