Chicago Bears Roster Ranking: 2nd-most important player

We were screaming for a legit WR1 last season and Ryan Poles went out and got one for Justin Fields and this offense. D.J. Moore is easily the top receiver on this roster, no matter what Chase Claypool may think. The wide receiver group went from one of the worst in the league to one of the best if Claypool and Darnell Mooney are healthy. The addition of fourth-round pick Tyler Scott should help too. Now, guys like Equanimeous St. Brown and Dante Pettis are at best the WR4/5 on this team.

D.J. Moore opens things up for Justin Fields and this offense. We are already seeing the chemistry in training camp. Fields knows he can trust Moore and will lean on him in tough situations. Moore has proven he is one of the best in the league with three seasons of over 1,100 yards despite mediocre to bad quarterback play. Moore only had 888 yards last season, but saw a career-high in touchdowns with seven. The hope now is that with Justin Fields slinging him the football, he can reach that 1,000+ mark in yardage and double-digit touchdowns.

The hope here is that D.J. Moore unlocks something in Justin Fields that we all want to desperately see. Similar to what we saw when Josh Allen was paired with Stefon Diggs, Tua Tagovailoa was paired with Tyreek Hill and Jalen Hurts was paired with A.J. Brown. Moore comes in at number two for me and I'm sure you can guess who is in the top spot.
