1. Chicago Bears have shown interest in Payne Durham

The Chicago Bears have not shown much interest in tight end so far in this draft process, and that makes sense. However, one name that they have been linked to is Payne Durham. You never know exactly what teams want to know when they bring in players for private workouts.

However, for the Chicago Bears, probably want to get an idea of how a player would feel going from the top tight end to a bottom-of-the-roster option, and how he would feel going from a pass-catching option to hardly being used in that area.

If Durrham fits the personality and fits the role on the depth chart, he is the obvious best fit for the Chicago Bears. His process, especially at the Senior Bowl stood out and may have helped his draft stock.

However, the NFL Combine solidified that the upside as a tight end who can split the middle seams is not there. So, it is hard to see him going too high. The interest is there, the fit is there, and Payne Durham should be available at the right time. This seems like something that should be in your mock drafts.
