Roschon Johnson clapped back at Texans player who punched him

Why fight on the field when you can fight on the web?

There were not a lot of great things to remember from the Bears' Week 2 loss. They somehow looked worse than the did in Week 1 – which, if you look at their Week 1 stats, is really saying something – and the panic of another underwhelming season crept into the minds of Bears fans for the first time.

It was a forgettable night all the way around. When the best moment from your offensive line is when they all surrounded a linebacker who hit Caleb Williams while going out of bounds, you know it was a tough watch. (It's great that they are so willing to defend Williams, but perhaps maybe focus on being also willing to block for him.) I'm not joking when I say that no one had a good night – for example, Roschon Johnson literally got punched in the face for no reason. Alzeez Al-Shaair punched him, out of nowhere, just 'cuz. It'd be kinda funny if it wasn't such a blatant penalty.

It's 2024 so obviously there was an EPIC CLAPBACK that Bears fans HAVE TO SEE. And you probably already saw it, but nobody's stopping you from looking AGAIN. Because you have to see the epic clapback.

Roschon Johnson responds to getting punched in the face on SNF

Honestly, that's a nice moment of maturity from Johnson. Would anyone really blame him for getting into it after being sucker punched – in the face! – just while helping his teammate up off the ground? Every bit of context about how Al-Shaair hit Williams in the head way after the play was over aside, getting punched for no reason is means enough to punch back. And they're both wearing helmets so it wouldn't even really hurt! The conditions were perfect for a nice little scuffle, if he wanted it.

[Deep sigh] This is probably a good lesson for the people at home, though. Restraint is good, pick your spots, etc etc. I get that the Bears have enough on their plate to deal with, but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. Kudos to Johnson for showing some maturity, I guess.
