Round 1, Pick No. 9: Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech

If the Bears are in search of an edge rusher with speed, length, and size, then Tyree Wilson is going to be their guy. A player who has already met with the Bears twice, Wilson solves the Bears' glaring need for pressure on the outside and a desire to have a defense that gets more than 20 sacks in one season.

At 6'6", 275 pounds, Wilson's seven-foot wingspan helps him disrupt things on the outside in his pass rush. Despite a season cut short due to injury, he still managed to be an absolute menace for Texas Tech, accumulating seven sacks and 14 tackles for loss. While there is room for improvement with his run defense and overall hand placement, there's no denying that the Bears see Wilson's athletic upside as something they need for their new look front seven.

Round 2, Pick No. 53: Keeanu Benton, Defensive Line, Wisconsin

More help for the Bears defense is underway, as the team takes a very talented nose tackle in Keeanu Benton. Benton addresses a position that the Bears have been lacking in since the departures of Akiem Hicks and Eddie Goldman.

Benton may be a physical presence at 6'4", 315 pounds, but he certainly moves quicker than that in his tape. His strengths lie in how he disrupts a team's run game with his size, power, and experience. The four-year starter from Wisconsin can play anywhere on the Bears defensive front.
