Ryan Poles day two guys

Ryan Poles and the Chicago Bears will start showing his draft theme with these second-round picks. There is a reason why he loves drafting in the second round. Or it could be because his first draft started in that round.

Tyrique Stevenson (56) second round
PFF Position ranking 7th
PFF big board player ranking 44th
PFF projected round 2nd
Players drafted after him of the same position: DJ Turner
The second second-round pick is a theme for Poles. PFF was high on Stevenson and Brisker. Two players that fell too far for Poles to not draft.

Zacch Pickens (64) third round
PFF Position ranking 9th
PFF big board player ranking 110th
PFF projected round 4th
Players drafted after him of the same position: Byron Young
One of the players I predicted Poles would draft. He shot his shot a little sooner than I thought he would. I also had Pickens above Dexter, but Poles felt grabbing the larger human first was more important.

Roschon Johnson (115) fourth round
PFF Position ranking 8th
PFF big board player ranking 101st
PFF projected round 4th
Players drafted after him of the same position: Israel Abanikanda
The next four players Poles drafted were considered steals by almost everybody. The theme is that Poles grabs the best fit early (you will hear me say that a lot) and the value later in the draft.
