4. Would the Chicago Bears sign DeeJay Dallas in free agency?

This is not going to blow people away, but DeeJay Dallas has a real reason to want to play for the Chicago Bears next year. First, a lot of the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff will be there. Beyond Shane Waldron is Chad Morton, the Seahawks’ former running backs coach. Morton has been the only running back coach he had in his career.

More than that, when he was at Miami, his running backs coach was Thomas Brown, who is now the passing game coordinator with the Chicago Bears. So, every position coach he has had since high school is currently on the team. It is not like he is going to have a heavy market, so even the lowest salary combined with that familiarity could bring him in.

The Bears are losing D’Onta Foreman, and Dallas brings pass protection and special teams ability that would get him a helmet on game day, even if he did not play that much. Dallas would not upgrade the room significantly, but the connections are too noticeable not to connect the dots.
