1. Rasheem Green is the Chicago Bears best pass rusher, too

Okay, Rasheem Green and DeMarcus Walker says more about Trevis Gipson and Dominique Robinson being worse all around. While Green and Walker are both better in the run game than they are as pass rushers, they are still both as good, if not better than those two as pass rushers as well.

Last season Green had 26 pressures. Gipson had 30, so to be fair, he was better. However, on a snap-by-snap basis, Green had a 6 in pass rush productivity, while Gipson was at 5.3. Gipson had a 10.5% win rate, and Green was at 11.6%.

So, they are basically a wash as pass rushers, and Green is the better-run defender. To be fair to Ngakoue in the last slide, this is where he shines. He had 44 pressures last season, but his PRP was closer to Green, at 6.9, and his 11% win rate was the same. Ngakoue sells out and picks and chooses his battles. Green does not win as often but fights every snap. This is why they signed Green.

Next. Bears Mock Draft: Post Pro Days. dark

A lot of people are pointing to this signing as depth, but right now he is the second-best edge rusher on the team behind DeMarcus Walker. The two edge rushers they signed are not the big needle movers. However, they are the two best edge rushers on the team. The draft will change things, but right now Rasheem Green has as good, if not a better chance to start next season than Trevis Gipson or Dominique Robinson.
