1. Chicago Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson statistical production

The best season that Tyrique Stevenson had was his 2021 season. According to PFF, he allowed 1.35 yards per snap in the slot in 2020. That number dropped to 0.66 in 2021, before jumping back up to 1.2 in 2022.

Beyond that, he had 19 run stops in 2021, and just eight in 2022. Still, he was not making too many more plays on the football. His pass breakups actually jumped from four to five, while some of the other stats dropped. His ball production has never been the strong point of his game, and he went from one interception in 2021 to two in 2022.

The reality is that while ball production is not his game, he was elite at giving up yards after the catch in 2021. He allowed 2.4 yards after the catch per catch in 2021, and that number jumped to 9.6. That number is not what you want to see, but 2.4 is pretty outlandish as well. Stevenson is a big, physical cornerback and you can expect him to help limit the yards after the catch. However, as shown in his agility, if you shake him, you may be able to break his ankles and pick up big yards.

Overall, the Chicago Bears have to like his length, his versatility, and that his a big physical cornerback who can play in press-man coverage. There are questions about his upside and whether he can break on footballs better and add some ball prodution, but in round two, they are getting someone who can get on the field right away.
