With the Chicago Bears entering the 2024 season with the expectation of contending for an NFC Wild Card Spot, at the very least, there will be a need for players to step up and reach their full potential.

On offense, the Bears' roster is now littered with playmakers after the additions of Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, Gerald Everett, and D'Andre Swift this offseason. Pairing the newcomers with DJ Moore and Cole Kmet, there is reason to be optimistic for the Bears' offense behind rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.

In order for the Bears' offense to reach their true potential in 2024, the success may depend on the development of Darnell Wright. Despite some thinking the the Bears should have taken Jalen Carter in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Bears decided to trade back one spot with the Philadelphia Eagles and select Wright.

Darnell Wright could pivotal to the success of the Bears' offense in 2024.

The second year in the NFL is usually when offensive linemen make the biggest jump and that may be the reason why Bucky Brooks of NFL dot com lists Wright among the breakout offensive tackles in 2024.

"As a rookie in 2023, Wright delivered a series of eye-opening performances. With the spotlight on Williams and Co. in 2024, Wright should catch even more attention. He's a bully on the edge with long arms and quick feet, possessing the tools and talent to play at a Pro Bowl level as a sophomore. "

What was most impressive about Wright's rookie season is that he had success while being limited with a shoulder injury for most of the year. Assuming health, expecting Wright to cement himself as one of the best, young offensive tackles in the NFL should be a given for the Bears during the 2024 season.
