The Chicago Bears make a highly unexpected trade in this full 2024 NFL mock draft

The Chicago Bears are the talk of the 2024 NFL Draft. The team is most likely taking Caleb Williams with the first pick in the draft, but what they do at nine is still up in the air. In this mock draft, the Bears make an unexpected trade that lands them an elite prospect.

The Chicago Bears trade up two spots with the Titans

This trade alone isn't going to surprise anyone. There are plenty of rumors that Ryan Poles is willing to move up if it means he snags one of the guys he is coveting. To land Caleb Williams plus a top prospect in this draft is going to be a smart move. Most fans, including myself at one point, are adamant that the Chicago Bears trade down from nine and acquire a second or third-round pick in the process. I don't hate that idea, but I also think landing two top-10 players in the same draft class could be a franchise-changing move. The only thing is there is no guarantee they choose correctly.

Well, one way to ensure they get the player they think is a can't-miss blue chip prospect is by moving up in the draft rather than trading back. This was an attempt to move up to six, but the Giants refused to make a trade in this mock draft and instead selected J.J. McCarthy. I'll be honest, seeing four quarterbacks go in the first six picks would be an ideal situation for the Bears, but I wanted to see the trade up play out in a way Daniel Jeremiah recently suggested.

Since I couldn't move up to six, seven was the consolation prize.

Bears Receive:
1.07
2025 4th Round Pick

Titans Receive:
1.09
2025 3rd Round Pick

The Chicago Bears had to do a 2025 pick swap with the Titans. They swapped their third-round pick for the Titans fourth-round pick. That is a small price to pay when it comes to moving up two spots for a player I believe is a can't-miss prospect.
