4.105: Michael Hall, Jr., DT | Ohio State
Michael Hall, Jr. finished the 2022 season with 4.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss and 19 total tackles. In 2023, he only finished with 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss, but did finish with 24 total tackles. What you won't see on most stat sheets though is that he had 22 pressures in 2023. Hall has a great burst off the ball and will add another playmaker to its rotation with Hall.
I also believe that Hall has more upside than Zacch Pickens as a 3T and with Gervon Dexter's versatility to play both the 3T and defensive end, Hall would fit in nicely. Like Bralen Trice, Hall would make a great addition to Matt Eberflus' defense and his HITS principles. He adds above-average power and shows an ability to use his hands to countermove against blockers.
Despite not having elite size, Hall is the perfect prospect to take in the fourth round. He can instantly fill in as a role player within the defensive line's rotation, while also developing into something more over the next couple of years. If he buys into Eberflus' system, he could flourish in the NFL.
