Quarterback Justin Fields passes and rushes for over 100 yards against hometown team
Fields was born in Kennesaw, Georgia, just 30 miles from Mercedes Benz Stadium where the Falcons play. He played football at Harrison High School in Georgia and spent his freshman year of college with the Georgia Bulldogs as a reserve player. Make no mistake, Fields is Georgia born and raised.
A Falcons fan growing up, Fields will most definitely want to go off for a career game against his hometown team while his friends and family watch.
Passing and rushing for over 100 yards is easy for Fields. He almost achieved it just last week against the Arizona Cardinals on Christmas Eve, gaining 170 passing yards and 97 rushing yards.
The jury is still out on whether Justin Fields is the Bears franchise quarterback or not. With each game, we get closer to a verdict. If Fields wants to remain in Chicago for the foreseeable future, he needs to build off last week's solid performance and have another great game.
If he doesn't, the rumors of drafting a quarterback with the first overall pick next season won't go away. Obviously, everyone wants to see their quarterback succeed in the NFL. Finishing this season by winning out could help Fields keep his job for one more season.
