Chicago Bears Underrated Free Agent Target: Dre’Mont Jones, IDL

Dre'Mont Jones, who is a former Bronco, would be a great way to start addressing the Bears’ major need for defensive lineman help. Jones is certainly not a world-conquering, franchise-changing player right now. However, signing Jones would be a big addition to the Bears' front 7 that needs anything they can get their hands on, and there is always room to improve as Jones is only 26.

Jones has always been a great pass rusher from the interior as he ranks 15th in QB pressures over the last three years among interior linemen. Adding a threat on the interior would go a long way for the Chicago Bears who struggled in essentially every facet of football in the trenches on the defensive side of the ball.

Jones only recently turning 26 means that if all goes well, we could be looking at a long-term building block for this Bears team, which is hard to find in free agency. The upside with this signing is as good as you will be able to find on the defensive side of the ball this year in free agency, and the floor is also about as high as you will find.
