Vikings vs. Bears best anytime touchdown scorer picks (Back Justin Fields)

The Vikings and Bears don't exactly have two great defenses, so in this NFC North match we could cash in on more than one anytime touchdown bet.

You’d be hard pressed to find two worse defenses in the entire NFL than the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, and you certainly won’t find two worse ones going head-to-head in Week 6.

Now that Justin Fields has settled into the season and thrown eight touchdowns the past two weeks, we could have a big time shootout on our hands in Chicago.

So, this is a great spot to back a couple of Bears and maybe even a Viking to reach the end zone with a juicy plus sign on an anytime TD bet.

Now, let’s take a look at some anytime TD scorer picks for Chicago and Minnesota.

Vikings vs. Bears anytime TD picks

  • Justin Fields +155
  • Darnell Mooney +305
  • TJ Hockenson +170

Justin Fields

The past two weeks have been a complete resurgence for Fields who was off to a horrendous start to the year. Now, he’s dominating and nearly all of his production is coming through the air.

He has eight TD passes in the past two weeks and 11 on the season, but only on rushing score. Fields is tied for sixth in the league with seven red zone rushing attempts and that number will need to go up this week with Chicago’s injuries at running back.

The Bears ended last game with a fullback taking all of the carries and Khalil Herbert is doubtful for this one.

Darnell Mooney

So far this season, Mooney has received the fourth most targets on the team, but is fifth in receptions with just eight. He has seen two of his 16 targets in the red zone and has one touchdown grab.

Last week only three Bears caught a pass, DJ Moore, Cole Kmet and Robert Tonyan. This week, somebody else will have to get involved and with Mooney averaging 13.0 yards per reception he is capable of making a big play against Minnesota’s constant blitzing.

TJ Hockenson

Justin Jefferson is out, so Kirk Cousins will need to pivot to another pass-catcher on his offense. Jordan Addison will certainly get a bump, but I think Hockenson will be the biggest beneficiary.

Hockenson is third among NFL tight ends in red zone targets and has two touchdowns. He is also second on the team in targets with 10 more than Addison.
