We keep tabs on both the Chicago Bears and the Carolina Panthers each week to determine where the Bears will be picking in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Chicago Bears finished the 2022 season with the worst record in football. Personally, I felt like the team was at least a six-win team despite only being victorious in three. The Bears found themselves 1-7 in one-score games. Any of those could have flipped the other way. That said, the losing continued into the 2023 season. At least until last week. It was nearly a year since this franchise finished with a W. Now, the team is looking for more. With each win, the Chicago Bears find themselves falling further down the 2024 NFL Draft board, but they also hold the Panthers' pick.

Each week, we will update the 2024 NFL Draft board to determine which picks in the first round the Bears own. Remember, the Bears own the Panthers' first-round pick in 2024 after trading the top pick in 2023. Feel free to fan any way you want, but personally, I am all for this team continuing to win games. That said, I'll cheer on the Panthers going winless if it means the Bears finish with the top pick in next year's draft. If that happens, the team will need to decide if Justin Fields is the guy, or if they should reset the clock by drafting likely top quarterback prospect, Caleb Williams. That will be more difficult now that Fields is hurt.

Tracking the Chicago Bears 1st-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft

As it stands, the Panthers are 0-6 on the season. The Chicago Bears are not much better at 1-5. Justin Fields is out indefinitely and Tyson Bagent will make his first career start vs. the Raiders. The Raiders are 3-3 on the year and coming off back-to-back victories over the Packers and Patriots. Jimmy Garoppolo is likely missing the game which means we will see Bagent for Chicago and Brian Hoyer for the Raiders. Hoyer is a former Bears backup QB who started five games in 2016 for an injured Jay Cutler. This will be a fun one.

2024 NFL Draft Order (First-Round, Top 10)

1. Carolina Panthers (Bears Pick)
2. Chicago Bears
3. Denver Broncos
4. Arizona Cardinals
5. New York Giants
6. New England Patriots
7. Minnesota Vikings
8. Tennessee Titans
9. Green Bay Packers
10. Los Angeles Chargers

As it stands, the Chicago Bears still hold the first two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. There are still 11 games left to play though and things can still drastically change. There has already been a shakeup since Week 6. Not to mention, Caleb Williams had a rough game against Notre Dame. USC lost bad and Williams threw three interceptions. Now what? (pssst...he's still going to be very, very good!)
