You're not dreaming, Bears fans. The Chicago Bears truly did draft Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

It is likely a night that will go on to define this franchise for years to come.

The jersey numbers of the Chicago Bears' 2024 NFL Draft picks.

With news of Jaylon Johnson switching his number to No. 1 this offseason, the fear of Caleb Williams taking Justin Fields' number was unwarranted.

Shortly after the official selection of Williams, the Bears confirmed that Williams will wear No. 18.

For Williams, the No. 18 was the number that he wore in high school. The number is retired at USC, that would be the reason why he did not wear the number at USC.

With Williams officially taking the No. 18, that left No. 13 open for veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen.

The number was last worn by wide receiver Tyler Scott, who will be wearing No. 10 during his second year in the NFL.

As for Odunze, he wore No. 1 during his college career at the University of Washington. With Johnson taking No. 1, Odunze was set for a new number in the NFL.

With Caleb Williams set at 18, Keenan Allen set at 13, and Rome Odunze set at 15, it appears that the Chicago Bears are set after Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The long wait is over, Bears Nation. It is time for us to take what is ours. Bear Down!
