With the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select... We don't officially know the answer to that question yet but the consensus is that the Bears will draft Caleb Williams out of USC with the number one overall pick.
The Bears weren't the worst team in the league last season but own the rights to the first overall pick because of the trade they made with Carolina the year before. The Panthers went on to be the worst team in the league and now don't even get to reap the benefits of being as bad as they were. The Bears get the top pick and with that top pick, likely comes a quarterback.
The good news for Bears fans is that they're not going to have to wait long at all to see who the team adds with the first pick.
What time will the Chicago Bears be on the clock in the 2024 NFL Draft?
The 2024 NFL Draft kicks off at 7:00 PM CST and with every team getting 10 minutes to make their selection, the Bears should be announcing their pick between 7:05 and 7:15 PM CST depending on how long it takes for the commissioner to open up the draft. More than likely, it'll be on the later end of that spectrum.
The Bears will be on the clock again eight selections later, as their true first-round pick is ninth overall. Again, every team gets 10 minutes to make their selection in the first round so if each team takes the full 10 minutes, it'd be an hour and a half into the draft (or 8:30 PM CST) before Chicago is on the clock with the ninth pick.
Bears fans can tune into the draft immediately for the first overall pick but if fans don't care about picks 2-8, they can dip out for a little bit and tune back in later. If that's the game plan, as long as they're tuned in by approximately 8:15 PM CST, they shouldn't miss the Bears' second pick of the night.
Of course, this is purely an estimated guess as to when the Bears will make their first-round picks.
