Chicago Bears Week 14 Winner No. 2: DJ Moore

It was a tale of two halves for DJ Moore in this game. While he did score a nice touchdown on an end-around reverse play, he did not register a catch in the first half on zero targets. Then, the second half comes around, and Moore ends up finishing the game with six catches for 68 yards and a touchdown reception to go along with his 20 yards and a score on the ground. This was another example of the type of player that the Bears have when utilized correctly. Moore can be a two-way player as a receiver and getting the ball out of the backfield.

The reason the Bears offense started to struggle in the second half was because they were not getting the ball in the hands of DJ Moore. While Cole Kmet and Darnell Mooney were getting involved, the explosiveness and after-the-catch ability of Moore continued to be the x-factor for the Bears. Once they got him active in the second half, the offense was able to take off again.

DJ Moore and Justin Fields are elite as a duo. Their connection has led to one of the best QB-to-WR passer ratings in the league. They were able to take over the game at points today. Putting the ball in the hands of your best player works, and it has been the recipe for success this season for the Bears. It seems that in every win the Bears have had this year, Moore has been one of the stars. He makes some eye-popping plays both with his speed and his hands. Some of those catches he brings in are amazing. He is a luxury to have, and his presence has elevated Justin Fields this season.
