Xavier Worthy is aware of who is the next quarterback of the Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are hosting the University of Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy for a Pre-Draft visit at Halas Hall this week as we are under three weeks away from the 2024 NFL Draft.
Worthy could be an option for the Bears if the team decides to trade back with the No. 9 overall selection in the draft. Many mock drafts have Worthy going in the middle-to-late of the first round with the Kansas City Chiefs being a team that could have an eye on the Longhorn wide receiver.
Worthy was the highlight of the NFL Scouting Combine in February as he tied the NFL record for the fastest 40-yard dash time.
With DJ Moore and Keenan Allen in place as the primary wide receivers on the outside of the Bears' offense, Worthy, given his speed, could be an ideal slot option. However, it would seem that the chances remain higher that the Bears will hold onto the 9th overall selection and select one of Rome Odunze, Joe Alt, Dallas Turner, or Malik Nabers if they remain on the board.
In a scenario where there is not a player available at No. 9 that the team has a blue-chip grade on, then it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Bears trade down in the first round.
Xavier Worthy's social media post is proof of the draw Caleb Williams could have with the Chicago Bears.
That isn't stopping Worthy from expressing his excitement about his visit with the Bears. Worthy took to Instagram to reveal he was in Chicago and he tagged the next quarterback of the team, Caleb Williams.
Worthy's post is the first sign of what could come for the Bears if Williams thrives as the team's quarterback. Players will want to come to Chicago and play with Williams as a way to add stock to their individual careers.
