The Chicago Bears truly left it all out there, starting 1-0 after a 59-point offensive performance. It was quite insane to watch Ben Johnson's offense do what they did, and this should also set the stage for how prolific 2026 can be.
Chicago checks all the boxes on offense and really isn't missing anything on that side of the ball to be a Super Bowl champion. Yes, the defense is rather concerning, but the offense taking a step forward can help cancel out any weaknesses on the defense.
After a sensational 1-0 start, let's predict Chicago's next three games.
Predicting the Chicago Bears next 3 games following insane 1-0 start
Week 2 vs. Minnesota Vikings
With Kyler Murray now dealing with a concussion, there is a chance that Carson Wentz gets the start. Either way, the Bears come into this game as the better team, as I am not sure the Vikings have a good enough quarterback to hang with as many points as the Bears can put up.
Minnesota does have a rather intimidating wide receiver room, and the Bears' secondary isn't exactly solid, but getting this game at home does help the defense (at least, it should), and whether it's Murray or Wentz starting, the overall limited ceiling of either QB is going to prevent Minnesota from scoring enough points. Bears win.
Prediction: Bears win 28-20
Week 3 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The second of three home games in a row, the Bears host the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2. The main issue with Philly this year is that A.J. Brown is no longer in the picture, so this is another offense whose ceiling is going to be limited. Jalen Hurts isn't nearly the pure passer that Caleb Williams is, so the Bears should have an advantage there.
Vic Fangio's defense is typically stingy, so Chicago needs to ensure they don't get into a defensive struggle, as that plays into the Eagles strengths. With how good this offense looked in Week 1 and how encouraged many fans have been since the offseason, I don't anticipate the Bears struggling to put up points this year.
Let's predict a 3-0 start.
Prediction: Bears win 27-23
Week 4 vs. New York Jets
Could the Bears really start 4-0? It's possible. The Bears then host the New York Jets in Week 4, and all across the board, Chicago is the better team. The Jets seem to be angling toward taking a big swing on a QB in the 2027 NFL Draft, as they have a trio of first-round picks next April.
But that doesn't have any impact on this game here in 2026. Geno Smith isn't in the same universe as Williams, and the Bears roster does gain an overall advantage over the Jets. This is, interestingly, a battle of two former Detroit Lions coordinators, as both Aaron Glenn and Johnson were the defensive and offensive coordinators of the team once upon a time.

The Jets don't have the offensive firepower or coaching to hang with Chicago, especially at Soldier Field. Chicago wins.
Prediction: Bears win 35-17
