While this has been a relatively quiet offseason for the Chicago Bears, there is still potential for them to make a swing or two that would help them in trying to make the Super Bowl in 2026.
Bears general manager Ryan Poles has avoided trades in the offseason outside of the NFL Draft. While he did explore some potential trades, Poles has not been able to secure one that fits the team's future plans.
That doesn't mean Poles will avoid making a trade altogether, as he still has a chance to do so. Here are three trades he could make that would completely change their season while giving them the best deal possible:
Bears acquire Josh Sweat without giving up a first or second-round pick
Sweat might be looking for a new home after reportedly not being happy with the Arizona Cardinals. This could be the Bears' time to take advantage of the situation by giving up a couple of picks that aren't first or second-round picks for him. Chicago would get another great pass rusher with Montez Sweat, while the Cardinals save some money in the process, making it a win-win situation, but more of a win for the Bears.
Bears trade Cole Kmet to the Kansas City Chiefs for a third-round pick
Travis Kelce is nearing the end of his NFL career, so the Chiefs are going to need a new tight end to fill in for the future. Kmet is about to get swallowed up on the Bears' depth chart with rookie Sam Roush there now. The Bears could find a way to swindle the Chiefs in a trade that would give them a third-round pick, even if it means throwing in a pick with Kmet to make it happen.

Bears trade only one first-round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders for Maxx Crosby
A Crosby trade seems more and more unlikely to happen as NFL teams inch closer to training camp, but there is a point where the Bears could still trade for him and bring him to a winning team. The Raiders almost got two first-round picks for him in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens before the AFC North team backed out. The Raiders won't get that kind of deal again, but if they are desperate to move him, the Bears would happily give them a first-round pick and instantly make themselves Super Bowl contenders.
