The 2026 NFL Draft is about a month away for the Chicago Bears, and there are some clear needs they must address.
Bears general manager Ryan Poles will have to set his sights on positions like edge rusher, center, safety, defensive tackle, and wide receiver. Poles might have shown their hand on who they have an interest in with the latest Pro Day that they visited.
NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe shared some of the big names that were at the Miami Hurricanes Pro Day. One of the names there was Poles himself, with top prospects being checked out like Rueben Bain Jr., Akheem Mesidor, CJ Daniels, and plenty more.
Ryan Poles knows exactly who he is targeting in the NFL Draft from Miami
All eyes are on the edge rushers, with Bain and Mesidor being the top guys from Miami that the Bears are most likely targeting. Chicago only had 35 sacks last year, with 10 of them coming from Montez Sweat, so they want other edge rushers on the team to step up.
Mesidor and Bain combined for 22 of the Hurricanes' 50 sacks on the season, with Mesidor leading the way with 12.5. Bain had a great Pro Day as he showed off the speed after racking up 9.5 sacks a season ago.
Daniels is more of a late Day 2 or Day 3 pick that the Bears can consider after putting up 557 yards and seven touchdowns. At 6-foot-2, he's got good enough size to play on the outside while Rome Odunze is on the other side, and Luther Burden could play in the slot, or Burden and Daniels could switch.

Chicago could address many of its needs by simply targeting Miami players, but the most important would be whether it could land one of those edge rushers. The Bears should be in a good position to at least get one of them if they are aggressive enough.
