Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles sure stayed busy this past week as he showed up for several Pro Days as he checks out the prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The latest report from The Draft Network's Paige Dimakos showed a photo of Poles at the Arizona State Pro Day. Some were wondering who he might be checking out. Arizona State has some talent, like wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, who will go in the first round.
Bears analyst Ben Devine reported that Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor has a scheduled top-30 visit with Chicago. Last season, Iheanachor was a second-team All-Big 12 selection after allowing 14 pressures, three quarterback hits, and zero sacks in 484 pass blocking snaps.

Bears visiting with Arizona State's Max Iheanachor
Iheanachor had a bit of a penalty problem with eight called on him last year, but other than that, he has the size and tools to be a starting offensive tackle in the NFL. He is projected to be a late first-round pick in the draft.
Chicago has some concerns at tackle, with projected starting left tackle Ozzy Trapilo expected to be out for much of 2026 due to his injury. That would leave Braxton Jones, Theo Benedet, and Jedrick Wills Jr. to compete for the starting job at left tackle.
While Jones is expected to be the starter at left tackle, that doesn't mean the Bears won't consider other options. Trapilo was always seen more as a swing lineman who could play tackle or guard, so there's a chance he could switch positions in the future.
Iheanachor is more of a pure tackle who could develop into a future starter at left tackle. It does seem like an odd move for the Bears, as they have other needs like edge rusher and safety, but the offensive line was so good last year that Chicago wants to make sure it stays at a high level.

Fans in Chicago will have to see how it goes in the draft, but if they do go offensive line in the first round, that would be a stunner.
