While the playoff push is the only thing that matters for the Chicago Bears, one of their players might be on the top of their minds to let walk in free agency in the offseason.

The Bears are going to have some tough decisions coming up in the offseason with 23 players set to hit the free agent market. There are plenty of them that Bears fans will beg the team to re-sign and bring back for the 2026 campaign.

Only one player might be on his way out from being with the team after what has been a quiet 2025 season with the franchise.

Bears fans could be seeing the final snaps of safety Jaquan Brisker

All the attention in the Bears' secondary has been on the stellar play of 2025 Pro Bowl selection Kevin Byard III. His partner at safety, Jaquan Brisker, might have some concerns about being back on the team in 2025.

Brisker missed most of the 2024 season with a concussion and returned in 2025 with mixed results. This season, he has racked up 77 tackles, five pass deflections, three quarterback hits, one tackle for loss, one interception, and one sack in 15 games.

According to Pro Football Focus, he has an overall grade of 59.4, which ranks 71st out of 100 safeties in the NFL. Brisker has missed six tackles and allowed a 125.9 passer rating, which is 16th in the NFL among safeties.

It hasn't been a bad season for Brisker, but one that might make it hard to justify bringing him back as he is in the final year of his four-year rookie contract. It will all come down to how much Brisker commands, and with other pending free agents like Nahshon Wright needing new deals, it will make it a tough decision for the Bears to decide who to bring back.

If Brisker has a strong final few games, it might make it easier to bring him back, but if he folds, the offseason decision by Ryan Poles and Ben Johnson gets a lot harder.
