As the Chicago Bears head into training camp there is plenty to talk about. However, the attention on the quarterback, head coach and new additions have made a few players fly under the radar.
Rome Odunze
The Bears added Luther Burden III, and while a lot of the talk has been about how this will impact star wide receiver D.J. Moore, less has been discussed about Rome Odunze. Odunze had a ho-hum season as a rookie. It was not so poor that people are calling him a bust, but certainly not good enough that fans can guarantee he is better than the third wide out.
However, this is a former top 10 pick and lack of buzz around someone with such pedigree is surprising.
Braxton Jones
Everyone and their mother has penciled in Ozzy Trapilo to start over Braxton Jones. However, at this time last year, everyone had projected the same thing of the third round pick from Yale, Kiran Amegadjie. While Trapilo was taken higher, the rookie season of Amegadjie should show us that nothing is guaranteed with the jump to the NFL.
Before we know, the Bears will be reliant on their left tackle coming off a serious ankle injury. That is worth a bigger discussion.
Jaquan Brisker
Jaquan Brisker was out of sight and out of mind last year due to his injuries. In fact, you could note that the last two years have made him hard to talk about. Anything said about him would circle around the word disappointment right now.

However, after his rookie season, the talk was star, or at least long-term starter. Will the Bears really let him go without a contract offer this season? Will he earn an extension and become a long-term starter, or is he here for one more year before he is out?
