To begin the afternoon against the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Bears' offense was less than impressive. In fact, it was downright abysmal. Chicago's offense put up less than 100 yards in the first half while looking inept and, quite frankly, outright dominated.
To come out in the second half, the Bears immediately held the Packers to a 3-and-out and were able to get the ball back, in position to respond after putting up just three points in the first two quarters. And, respond is exactly what they did.
On the live television broadcast, announcer and NFL legend Tom Brady was elated after the improbable score, which we'll elaborate on in a bit.
"I like the idea of getting caleb outside of the pocket.. drops it down, barely through the arms of Nixon in coverage... and finds Zaccheaus. What a catch! What a great camera angle, side-arm delivery, through Nixon's arms and then finds Zaccheaus ... from the pylon cam, what a drive, KB!"
Caleb Williams' surgical touchdown pass is exactly what Bears fans need to see more of
Quarterback Caleb Williams indeed capped off a 10-play drive with a miraculous touchdown pass to wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus. Off a play-action fake, Williams rolled out to his right and put the football right where only Zaccheaus could have gotten it, and just before he would've gone out of bounds.

The camera angle which Brady was referring to, also, was an alternate view shown on the broadcast from behind the end zone. It was magnificent.
This was the type of play and, to be honest, the type of drive the Bears needed coming out of halftime. The offense had been struggling for two quarters, to that point, and Chicago simply couldn't get much of anything going at all against Micah Parsons and the Green Bay defense.
After a first half where Williams was again off-target on multiple throws and watching their defense give up two big-play touchdowns, the precision on this touchdown pass injected some life into the team.
This was truly a pass that Williams couldn't have thrown any better. No defender was going to get to it and, thankfully, Zaccheaus held on.
Hopefully, we see more throws like this from Williams and on a more regular basis going forward.
