Two Bears legends should be wearing gold coats (but have been completely ignored)

They need to be in the Hall.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has been a sacred place where many Chicago Bears players have been inducted, but plenty of players have yet to get in.

NFL.com lead draft writer Eric Edholm shared his list of one or two players on each NFL team that should be the next players getting elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Edholm picked linebacker Lance Briggs and cornerback Charles Tillman as the selections for the Bears.

"I think at least one more member of the Lovie Smith 2000's Bears defense will get in after Brian Urlacher made it in 2018, and it’s possible that Olin Kreutz joins them from the offensive side one day. All three were among 128 HOF candidates a year ago, but none were named semifinalists. Briggs might have a slightly stronger résumé on paper than Tillman, and he’s been eligible one more year than Tillman, but don’t overlook the power of the Peanut Punch. Tillman dislodged a stunning 44 fumbles in his career, and his trademark punchout is still referenced regularly in media and by fans. That reputation, which seemingly has only increased since retirement, could be enough to push Tillman through. Virginia McCaskey, the Second City’s first lady for many decades, is a sleeper candidate to beat them into the Hall, but there is only one contributor finalist per cycle, making it tougher to forecast exactly when the late Bears matriarch and daughter of George Halas will make it."

Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman should 100% be in the Hall of Fame

Briggs was a seven-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-Pro selection. The combination of Briggs and Urlacher was among the best in the NFL for years as the two dominated offenses around the league.

Tillman is legendary for the crazy number of turnovers he has forced in his career, as he set an NFL record with 10 forced fumbles in 2012 with the Bears. He made the Pro Bowl twice and was selected as an All-Pro in 2012.

Hopefully, the Hall of Fame will wise up and get these two guys in there, as they deserve.
