Good, better, best. Chicago Bears fans don't want that saying to rest and neither does the team.

Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent appeared on ESPN Chicago radio, where he was asked about the three-word title speech that head coach Ben Johnson made famous after every victory by the team. Bagent believes it shouldn't be reserved just for the 2025 team and mentioned that he and the Bears' quarterbacks gave Johnson some advice during a meeting about the slogan.

"Yeah we'll keep that going."

"There's probably some money to be made with that slogan. We were talking about that today. He needs to copyright that immediately."

Tyson Bagent doesn't want Ben Johnson to stop "Good, Better, Best" speech

Johnson's now-famous speech was delivered after every win last year and caught on quickly. It started to get the media's attention when Johnson took his shirt off after the Black Friday win over the Philadelphia Eagles and then ran through the speech.

This was a speech Johnson had heard on other teams he had been on and decided to use himself for the Bears. That speech may not be a key motivator for the team this season, but fans enjoyed hearing it 12 times throughout the regular season and postseason after victories.

While Bears fans might be disappointed that Johnson will refuse to take his shirt off in the locker room again, that speech will remain there. It's one that has become a symbol for the new path the Bears are taking in the Johnson era, as the team went 11-6, won the NFC North, and beat the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card in 2025.

If there is one thing Bears fans miss more than anything from watching Chicago football, it's Johnson screaming at the top of his lungs those three words: Good, better, best.
