The Chicago Bears injury report for their Week 9 game against the Arizona Cardinals continues have concern over the status of Jaquan Brisker.
Brisker has been sidelined since suffering a concussion on October 6 against the Carolina Panthers. For Brisker, he is dealing with his third concussion in as many seasons since being drafted by the Bears. Considering next week will mark one month since Brisker suffered the concussion, questions should begin to be asked. Of course, the Bears are going to respect Brisker's privacy as he attempts to clear concussion protocol but Eberflus hasn't provided much of an update since last week when the team initiall returned from their bye week.
Brisker has yet to clear protocol and hasn't practiced since suffering the concussion against the Panthers, so he will likely be out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
The status will likely apply to Kyler Gordon, who has yet to practice since suffering a hamstring injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to the team's bye week. While entirely related, Gordon's injury lends credence to the idea that Tyrique Stevenson will only be benched for the start of the game on Sunday instead of the entire game.
Updated Chicago Bears injury report for Week 9
The updated injury report isn't great for the Bears' offensive line either. Eberflus already ruled out Kiran Amegadjie for Sunday's game with the hope being that Braxton Jones is able to play. Jones has yet to practice this week, a sign that he may not be able to play on Sunday. The sign is also there for Teven Jenkins as he wasn't able to practice on Thursday after participating in the team's walkthrough on Wednesday. Larry Borom, a full participant in each practice this week, likely will be part of the offensive line solution for Sunday's game.
The silver lining to the injury report is that Montez Sweat should be able to play on Sunday.
