Now that the Chicago Bears have completed most of their free-agent moves and gone through the NFL Draft, it is a good time to look at the 53-man roster and what could happen as the summer comes to an end.

Chicago Bears 53-man roster projection

Quarterback (3) Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum

The Bears seem set on keeping three quarterbacks.

Running Back (3): D’Andre Swift, Kyle Monangai, Roschon Johnson

There is not a fourth running back worth keeping at this point, but they may sign a running back at some point.

Wide Receiver (5): Rome Odunze, Luther Burden, Khaliff Raymond, Jadae Walker, Zavion Thomas

Thomas rounds out the room, and the likely sixth man right now is Maurice Alexander.

Tight End (3): Cole Kmet, Colston Loveland, Sam Roush

The lack of a third tight end is what made Roush valuable to the Bears.

Offensive Line (10): Braxton Jones, Darnell Wright, Theo Benedet, Jedrick Wills, Garrett Bradbury, Logan Jones, Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson, Luke Newman, Jordan McFadden

This assumes Ozzy Trapilo starts the year on the PUP and does not take a roster spot. Still, the need for depth pushes this room to ten, and that does not include Kiran Amegdjie, who may get cut.

Edge Rusher (4): Montez Sweat, Dayo Odeyingbo, Austin Booker, Daniel Hardy

Not drafting an edge rusher has them a lot thinner here than most would like, especially with Odeyingbo coming off an injury.

Interior Defensive Line (6): Grady Jarrett, Gervon Dexter, Shemar Turner, Neville Gallimore, James Lynch, Kentavius Street

This is another deep group, as their sixth-round rookie might end up on the practice squad.

Linebacker (6): Devin Bush, T.J. Edwards, D’Marco Jackson, Noah Sewell, Keyshaun Elliott, Jack Sanborn

This is another deep group, and right now they are leaving off second-year former draft pick Ruben Hyppolite. It is hard to see who he beats out on this roster, though.

Cornerback (6): Tyrique Stevenson, Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon, Terell Smith, Malik Muhammad, Josh Blackwell

Zah Frazier is another former draft pick who may end up being lost in the depth of this group. After doing nothing in his rookie season, he could end up back on the practice squad.

Safety (4): Coby Bryant, Dillon Thieneman, Elijah Hicks, Cam Lewis

This group does not appear to have many questions as the top four are locked in.
