Bears Playoff Picture Becoming Clearer
Clipped from: www.nfl.com (share this clip) If the season were to end today, the Bears would be headed to Jerry World to take on the Dallas Cowboys with a likely rematch with the Green Bay Packers to follow if the Saints were to knock off their likely first round opponent, their division rival Atlanta Falcons. It would take a Falcons upset at the Superdome and a Bears win in Dallas and in San Francisco to offer the possibility of the Bears-Packers NFC Championship Game rematch, this time at Lambeau Field. It will also require the Bears to stay the course [...]
Cutler and Cavallari – GAME ON!!! AGAIN!!!
Re-posting from October 4th, 2011 when this picture started circulating around the web. We thought this day was coming and today, Kristin Cavallari confirmed via Twitter that she and Jay Cutler are engaged again. This time its official..Jay and I are engaged again Are Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari back together? This photo taken today in LA would suggest they are. It’s like the scene from Wayne’s World: First there was Jay all smiley, happy in the audience at Dancing with the Stars cheering on Cavallari and now there’s Jay, continuing to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month [...]
Bears Waive Iwuh, Promote Trahan
In the least exciting news you’ll hear today, the Bears waived reserve linebacker and special teams standout Brian Iwuh. Iwuh was injured in the Raiders game, so the Bears decided to put him on the injured/waived list. If he clears waivers, he’ll go onto the Bears I/R. Iwuh was the Bears’ leading special teams tackler with 14 so far this season. He also did a nice job filling in at linebacker for an injured Lance Briggs last season as well. To take Iwuh’s place the Bears have promoted linebacker Patrick Trahan from the practice squad. Trahan spent time with on [...]
Reports are starting to circulate that Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Mike Martz is interested in the recently vacant Arizona State head coaching job. Arizona Republic reporter Doug Haller tweeted the info earlier on Tuesday after ASU head coach Dennis Erickson was let go on Monday. Martz was an assistant at ASU for ’83-’91. Martz is a free agent after this season, having turned down an extension from the Bears in the offseason. It’s been widely speculated that Martz was only using the Bears OC job as a stepping stone to get back in control with a head coaching gig. I [...]

Raiders Boot Past Hanie and Bears 25-20
This was never going to be an easy one, this trip to Oakland. Even with Cutler it was going to be a challenge. With the inexperienced Hanie running the Bears offense, it was ugly at times. Hanie gave you about what you might expect from an inexperienced QB making his first career start. We got a glimpse of Hanie in last year’s NFC Championship game. Just enough bad throws and dumb mistakes to offset the positive plays. Hanie ended the day with 2 touchdowns on 18 for 36 passing with 3 costly interceptions, none of which was more costly than [...]
Handicapping NFL Week 12: Picks of the Week
I’m upset with myself for not doing my Turkey Picks as I planned. I would’ve been able to up my pick 3 because I would’ve went 2-1. I felt like Miami would cover, Baltimore would win, and Detroit would cover, the Detroit pick obviously would’ve been my loss. They are an undisciplined mess. Suh is a fool who cost his team a possible win. If you make a big goal-line stop like that, against the Packers, you cannot give them another shot at it. The game would’ve only been 10-0 and who knows what would’ve happened. Instead, like 5 minutes [...]
Drivin’ Deez Nuts: Two Is Better Than One
The season isn’t over until the fat offensive coordinator sings. The Chicago Bears are going to be without first-string QB Jay Cutler for a while and unproven second-string QB Caleb Hanie is going to be leading the offense. Putting your faith in a no name QB is old news for Bears fans. We’ve been here before. I just hate hearing fans who have given up on the season already. Hanie has only played in six regular season games and one playoff game in his four-year career. In those seven games, he has completed 21 of 34 passes for 219 yards, [...]
