In the least exciting news you’ll hear today, the Bears waived reserve linebacker and special teams standout Brian Iwuh.  Iwuh was injured in the Raiders game, so the Bears decided to put him on the injured/waived list.  If he clears waivers, he’ll go onto the Bears I/R. Reports are starting to circulate that Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Mike Martz is interested in the recently vacant Arizona State head coaching job.  Arizona Republic reporter Doug Haller tweeted the info earlier on Tuesday after ASU head coach Dennis Erickson was let go on Monday.  Martz was an assistant at ASU for ’83-’91. This was never going to be an easy one, this trip to Oakland.  Even with Cutler it was going to be a challenge.  With the inexperienced Hanie running the Bears offense, it was ugly at times.   Hanie gave you about what you might expect from an inexperienced QB making his first career start.  We got a glimpse of Hanie in last year’s NFC Championship game.  Just enough bad throws and dumb mistakes to offset the positive plays. I’m upset with myself for not doing my Turkey Picks as I planned.  I would’ve been able to up my pick 3 because I would’ve went 2-1.  I felt like Miami would cover, Baltimore would win, and Detroit would cover, the Detroit pick obviously would’ve been my loss.  They are an undisciplined mess.  Suh is a fool who cost his team a possible win.  If you make a big goal-line stop like that, against the Packers, you cannot give them another shot at it.  The game would’ve only been 10-0 and who knows what would’ve happened.  Instead, like 5 minutes [...]

The season isn’t over until the fat offensive coordinator sings.  The Chicago Bears are going to be without first-string QB Jay Cutler for a while and unproven second-string QB Caleb Hanie is going to be leading the offense.  Putting your faith in a no name QB is old news for Bears fans.  We’ve been here before.  I just hate hearing fans who have given up on the season already.
