Hey, it’s already Thursday, BEARS FANS!!!  I’ve decided to try to resurrect an old favorite of mine, Bear Dawn.  It’s the latest Chicago Bears news from around the interwebs.  Here’s what you need to know for Thursday May 28, 2015…

Another day, another Ray McDonald arrest.  In my very informal poll, four times the number of fans think McDonald is just plain stupid rather than disturbed.

George McCaskey addressed the media after OTA’s to talk about the McDonald situation.

"On whether this will change the way Bears pursue potential free agents with character concerns:“Well one positive — if that’s a word that can be used —  to come out of this is that the process that we’ve set up has been reinforced and, in the end, worked. As a I said, we had safeguards in place. (General manager) Ryan (Pace) came to me for permission. So we have the reinforcement of that process. I just need to make a better decision.”"

It’s sad that the owner of a franchise has to talk about this nonsense, but you have to admit that McCaskey brought this on himself.  McCaskey won’t lose confidence in Ryan Pace, who’s got his full confidence.

Da Bears Blog’s Jeff Hughes talked about Ray McDonald on the radio the other day.  It was a passionate discussion.

The biggest stories from the first day of this last phase of OTA’s were around the participants.  Matt Forte was in, Martellus Bennett was conspicuously out.  It’s two players looking for new contracts taking vastly different approaches.

Every hero has an origin story and Smokin’ Jay Cutler is no exception.

Fox Sports is doing a little bracket to see which rookie will have the best season in 2015.

The oldest living ex-Chicago Bear died earlier this week at the age of 97.

So the Bears hired a new lead contract negotiator and Cliff Stein is like…  All I could think of is this scene from The Godfather:

In some NFL news, the Houston Texans have been selected to appear on HBO’s Hard Knocks.  JJ Watt. Jadeveon Clowney. Yes please.

Former Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher has co-written a children’s book.  No, seriously.  Read it or he’ll kick your butt!

I’ll go first.  Everyone who wants a new contract, raise your hand.  Post your captions in the Comments.
