Good morning, Bears fans! Time for another installment of Bear Dawn, the latest Chicago Bears’ news from around the internet. Here is what you need to know for Tuesday, June 16th, 2015.

More from Chicago Bears News

The most exciting news of the day for the City of Chicago is the Stanley Cup championship won by the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks finished their incredible season last night with a 2-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at the United Center to win the series in six games. This is the team’s third Stanley Cup victory in the past six season. They most certainly are a dynasty, and are carrying the city of Chicago when it comes to championships.

Today, the Bears report to mandatory veteran minicamp. This three-day camp will be a nice chance for the new coaching staff to see what they have on the roster, and continue to implement their systems. Hub Arkush wrote a solid, general overview of the team heading into the minicamp, talking specifically about the changes to the coaching staff.

After skipping all of the voluntary workouts, tight end Martellus Bennett reported to the Bears yesterday. He showed up for his physical and is expected to be a full participant in the minicamp this week.

With fines expected if he were to miss any more workouts, it is not surprising to see Bennett show up. Despite his absences, Bennett has a chance to build on his career year last season, as he has huge upside in new offensive coordinator Adam Gase’s offense.

Jake Perper of Bears Backer takes a look at the Bears’ depth on the defensive line. New defensive coordinator Vic Fangio relies on an explosive and aggressive defensive line. The Bears seem to have the pieces, but will they all come together?

Lester Wiltfong Jr. at Windy City Gridiron gives us five things to keep in mind before the Bears’ minicamp begins. Number three is something that we at BGO looked at over the weekend: Should Kyle Long become a full-time right tackle?

According to ESPN Insider Field Yates, the Bears were one of ten teams to put a waiver claim on TE Tim Wright, who the New England Patriots released last week. Wright ended up returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had the highest waiver priority.

Speaking of the Buccaneers, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN takes a look at if the Bears should trade for their quarterback Mike Glennon. Interesting thought if nothing else.

Gase considers back-up QB Jimmy Clausen to be a “perfect fit” for his offense, according to the Sun-Times. Could there be a quarterback controversy on the horizon? I doubt it, but it’s not like Jay Cutler has a long leash to begin with, and this certainly does not help.

That is all for now Bears’ fans. Have a great day, and as always, Bear Down!
