1 winner (and 6 losers) in the Bears' embarrassingly awful 52-21 loss to Lions

Let's just forget about this game huh?

To say Sunday was a forgetful day for the Chicago Bears is the understatement of the year in the NFL.

The Bears fell to the Detroit Lions 52-21 in Ben Johnson's return to the team, where he had served as offensive coordinator for three years. Chicago's defense allowed over 500 yards of offense, with the Bears' offense having two turnovers in the first half.

In games like these, it's hard to find many winners in the game as there are no doubt many more losers in the contest on the Bears' side.

Winner: Rome Odunze, WR

There might have been some question about whether DJ Moore or Odunze, but that was safely settled in Detroit, with Odunze taking that title. He finished with seven receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns. This is the connection all Bears fans have been waiting for, as Williams and Odunze are the future for the franchise.

Losers: Braxton Jones & Darnell Wright, Tackles

Another game, another multiple penalties and mistakes by the two most important players on the line. Wright received a false start penalty in the first half for the second consecutive contest and was called for a chop block penalty in the third quarter. He also allowed a bad sack earlier in the same quarter.

Jones got beat bad by Aidan Hutchinson off a spin move that led to a Caleb Williams interception. The Bears addressed the interior offensive line, but have a glaring issue at each end of the line.

Loser: Tyrique Stevenson, CB

The struggles of Stevenson continue, as it was a decent showing last week, but the Lions' passing game had a field day. On one drive in the first quarter, Stevenson had an illegal contact called that erased a Montez Sweat and allowed a long Amon-Ra St. Brown catch that turned into a touchdown.

Loser: Nick McCloud, CB

There is some sympathy for McCloud, who was filling in for Kyler Gordon for the second straight game. The Lions took advantage of him being a nickel and had Amon-Ra St. Brown in the slot against him. Too many times the catch was allowed and McCloud got scored on by St. Brown. Chicago needs Gordon back as soon as possible.

Losers: Bears' front seven

Chicago only had four quarterback hits and never got a sack on Lions quarterback Jared Goff in the game. The rush defense was even worse, with 177 yards on the ground, with an average of 6.2 yards per carry. It didn't help that T.J. Edwards got hurt again, but there are a lot of concerns now with the defense.

Loser: Ben Johnson, Head Coach

There's no doubt that there isn't a bigger loser in this game than Johnson was, as he was outcoached by his previous boss, Dan Campbell. Johnson's first-half call with QB sneak on back-to-back third and fourth down plays without getting the first down was a bad moment. His decision not to activate rookie Ozzy Trapilo and Kiran Amegadjie for the offensive line when they could have used some different linemen out there will leave some questions.
