While the 2025 season was a magical one for the Chicago Bears, the fan base is ready for the new year to begin with the chance to see them make a run for a Super Bowl.

There have been some changes to the roster with new additions and departures from the Bears throughout the last month-plus of the offseason. The team announced on social media that 12 players on the roster have new jersey numbers.

  • Coby Bryant - 2
  • Jahdae Walker - 9
  • Devin Bush - 12
  • Kalif Raymond - 14
  • Cam Lewis - 21
  • Nephi Sewell - 45
  • Jack Sanborn - 57
  • Garrett Bradbury - 67
  • Jedrick Wills Jr. - 71
  • Neville Gallimore - 90
  • Kentavius Street - 93
  • James Lynch - 97

12 Bears got new jersey numbers for the 2026 season

Walker is the only player from last year's team who changed his number, going from 20 to 9. He more than earned the chance to pick his own number after a solid rookie season with two touchdowns in the last month of the regular season, including the game-tying touchdown against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16.

The one new number that will catch Bears fans' attention is Bryant taking DJ Moore's old number that he had for three years before being traded to the Buffalo Bills. It will be fun for the fan base to see Bryant take the baton of number two and run with it.

Bears fans will also be interested in Bush's number with the team, as he picked number 12. While it's an odd number for a linebacker, it's one that should have everyone's attention on the field when he starts alongside T.J. Edwards.

More jersey numbers will be released once the rookies join, but this is one step that moves the team closer to the 2026 season.
