As for special teams, the rare Adam Podlesh shank and the Devin Hester fumble set up the Eagles first two touchdowns. The shank was bad, but the ensuing Hester fumble really got the ball rolling (no pun intended) for the terrible day. If Hester arrives to the 37 with the ball, maybe the Bears can work their full offense with the ground game and the passing game. Maybe they wouldn’t have been playing catch up all night long. But I digress…

This game is behind us. We can’t dwell on it. There is one game right now on the schedule that matters. Packers@Bears. Chicago has had the chance to win games while Rodgers was out and eliminate the Packers. But after leaving in an injured Cutler (Lions) and a 2nd and 7 field goal attempt (VIkings), the Bears are still basically tied with the Packers for first place in the division. If the Bears can win this game, all will be well. The team would be division champions, and would have won by defeating the arch rivals. For me, it would all but heal the wound of the 2010 NFC Championship game. This next game, for all intents and purposes, is the NFC Championship. Win, and all Bears fans rejoice in relief, happiness, and excitement. Lose, and all the fans can do is look back on this season as somewhat of a wasted year, thinking “What went wrong?” Everything rides on this game. Rodgers or Flynn, the Bears need to win. Oh hey, that rhymed. BEAR DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
