Marc Trestman is very smart and he knows football. It is hard for me not to wonder if he wanted something similar to happen to this team; to see some success or to be taken behind the woodshed, in order to refocus and push harder at practice.

Let’s face it, the situation was ideal for learning and growth. The beating was humbling and there is a lot to correct but, the game didn’t count in the standings and the Bears are going to learn and be a better team because of it.

It is hard to tell success or failure because we don’t know how much the coaches game planned; how much of the Defensive play book was used? How much of the Offensive playbook was used? Where players in the right spots and just didn’t make plays or where players out of position?

It takes good coaching to get players where they need to be and complete their assignments, but even the best coaches can’t make their players perform correctly.

I really believe that this preseason game was probably the best thing to happen to the Bears and just might be the catalyst to a trip to the post season for the first time in years. Once you make it to the dance; all bets are off.

What do you think Bears fans? Am I crazy or do you see the glimmer of hope that I see? Make sure to comment below!
