Last year, Pernell McPhee was Ryan Pace’s number one target and he made sure he got it done. This year, that man was Danny Trevathan. It appears that Pace is now 2 for 2 signing his number one targets.

Leming isn’t the most well-known Bears Insider, but he’s made a name for himself over the last 15 months. His information last year during the free agent signing period was spot on and if last year’s accuracy is any indication, Bears fans can lock this in as a done deal.

Trevathan is a great signing for the Bears. He instantly upgrades a serious need at ILB and will be another key addition into building Vic Fangio’s linebacker corps into an elite group. Pace isn’t done, he still needs to address the secondary and defensive line and there are also reports that the Bears want to add a guard to their offensive line, add a tight end and add depth at running back. Is that all? Pace is going to be busy. He’s on the right track once again, hopefully he can finish free agency as well as he’s started it.
