If there’s a sure thing out of these nine picks, it’s Cody Whitehair. He’s as NFL-ready as you can be as a prospect. Whitehair played tackle in college but projects as an NFL guard which is the only thing that held him back from being a first round pick.

Whitehair has great technique, he has a great motor and is a great teammate. Of all these draft picks, Whitehair also has the best chance to start out of the group. There is a very good chance he will be starting at left guard week one in Houston.

Expect Whitehair to start for Chicago and make the NFL’s All-Rookie team. The Bears traded down twice in the second round and it was difficult to see what their end game was, but grabbing Whitehair when they did should reward the franchise for years to come.
