The Bears wanted some ‘cloggers’ in the middle of their defense in the early part of the century and Traylor was the perfect guy for it. Traylor was 6’2, 340 lbs and anchored the middle of the Bears defense for three seasons.

Traylor’s massive size made him nearly impossible to move, he made life difficult on opposing offenses who liked running up the middle and he would always manage to tally a sack or two throughout the season for good measure.

While Traylor’s size was ideal for the Bears’ defensive scheme, it’s not an ideal one for the ESPN Body Issue. If ESPN decides to do a ‘Where are they now?’ body issue in 2017, let’s hope they keep Keith Traylor on the cutting room floor.
