Re-Grading Chicago Bears 2008 NFL Draft
3. Earl Bennett, WR, Vanderbilt
Bennett turned into a decent depth option for the Bears. He had a short lived career, playing just six seasons but all came in Chicago. Bennett put up 12 touchdowns in 29 starts and was an asset on special teams. It was not a huge win, but for the third round they did not get a bad return for Bennett.
3. Marcus Harrison, DT, Arkansas
Harrison was a big disappointment. The Bears acquired the pick, along with a slew of other picks for an early second round pick in 2007. Unfortunately that pick turned into Eric Weddle, and the Bears came away with little to nothing to show for the move. Harrison played just three seasons, but at least put in nine starts, which is more than most of the other pieces the Bears got in the trade.
4. Craig Steltz, S, LSU
The Bears had to know what Steltz was when they drafted him. A limited athlete, Steltz was a bottom end of the roster player and a special teams

option for the Bears. Steltz was able to put in a six-year career for the Bears, and was not a complete fail.
5. Zackary Bowman, CB, Nebraska
The Bears traded safety Chris Harris and landed Zackary Bowman. Bowman played six seasons for the Bears, and started 23 games over that span. Harris ended up back on Chicago after a very brief stint in Carolina, so this was a small win for the Bears.
5. Kellen Davis, TE, Michigan State
Davis was a depth tight end who had some ups, but a lot of downs in his time in Chicago. Davis stuck around for five seasons, and started in 35 games, but it still tough to justify him a success in Chicago. Still, for a fifth round pick they got enough value that he is not necessarily a bust.
