The wide receivers are worse

The cornerbacks may be the most questionable, but there is some upside. The receiving corps is likely to finish off as one of the worst in the league. That could be even with a healthy and productive Kevin White, which has not happened in his two years in the NFL.

Still, even if he does live up to his expectations the position group has major questions down the line. Cameron Meredith is out for the season. Markus Wheaton has hardly taken a practice snap on his new team thanks to multiple injuries.

Next: 53-man roster projection

Kendall Wright has looked fine, but between Victor Cruz, Josh Bellamy and Deonte Thompson, the team has not seen anything as a pass catcher that gives hope to fill in for the more injury riddled players. Tanner Gentry has some upside, but he is a rookie undrafted free agent just hoping to make a team. The Bears are going into the regular season with a worse receiving corps than they came into the preseason with. That is a tough pill to swallow.
