In the first game that Danny Trevathan came back from injury, Christian Jones started beside him. From there Leonard Floyd got hurt, and while it has been in a limited capacity, he has been a depth piece to fill that hole.

In the place of Jones has been Nick Kwiatkoski. This is obvious to follow. The Bears know their season is over. Jones is a free agent next season. Kwiatkowski is entering year three and has another year left on his rookie deal. They need to see what they have in the young kid. So far it has not been bad.

Sunday he has yet another chance to prove that he is not only worth investing in but that he could be a player that enters training camp next season with the idea of taking on starter snaps. It is not out of the picture that Kwiatkoski and Trevathan is the duo inside next year, and it could be these games that seal that fate.
