The Chicago Bears lose yet another coach to the Miami Dolphins

Chicago-South is being built down in Miami. The question is how good are they going to be? Still, the Miami Dolphins continue to purge the Chicago Bears offensive coaching cabinet. This time, nabbing offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn.

Washburn was a coach under Gase in Miami just last season. However, he took a chance to move up the ladder in Chicago. With the firing of John Fox, and the leaving of Dowell Loggains, things got lonely Washburn.
It was very clear that change was coming from top to bottom on the offensive side of the ball.

For Washburn, it is a better idea to get out now than to wait for a new offensive head coach or coordinator to tell you to start looking elsewhere. The familiarity with Gase makes the decision a no-brainer.

The only underlying question is whether or not this means definitively that an offensive mind is coming in. They have three defensive coaches ready to interview, including Vic Fangio who already had completed one. Fangio has the best resume.

If Fangio were to get the job, would he want to keep some of those familiar faces? Did he tell Loggains and Washburn to get out because he knew he was not going to be back himself?

Time will tell, but the bet to make is that an offensive coach will be heading to Chicago soon. He will build his coaching staff up, and Loggains and Washburn will be after thoughts.
